Current Projects
OML is so excited to be in development producing Monumental, with Erika Bolstad. This film will explore how communities in Portland are reimagining symbols that once signified power and might, but that now represent relics of oppression or conquest.
OML is honored to be producing Symphony of Grief (previously titled: Mourning Has Broken) alongside performer Susannah Mars. This short film documents the journey of 4 artists exploring personal grief over the loss of a loved one, while collaborating to create together through original song, illustrations, spoken word and animation.
OML has joined forces with Jean Herbold to help produce The Pumpkin Lady of Fond Du Lac. Did you know that some kids in the U.S. have never trick-or-treated on Halloween, especially at night? This film explores how and why these children have celebrated Halloween in a very unique way for the last 5 decades, illustrating how a Wisconsin community turned tragedy into a beloved annual tradition.
OML is so excited to be part of the producing team behind the short film Controlling the Narrative! We hope to be headed to festivals in 2024.
Past Projects
Driven by #RoeRage, OML is thrilled to have produced Vote Now Oregon - a series of videos focused on electing pro-choice candidates in Oregon.
It was our great honor to create this video in support of arts and culture alongside the Oregon Arts Commission and Oregon Cultural Trust.
Beatlore is a feature-length documentary from Alchemy 3 Productions, currently in production. OML worked as Producers in 2020 and 2021.
OML was proud to partner with the Oregon Primary Care Association to produce a series of PSAs highlighting the strength and importance of community health centers during these difficult times. Check videos #1, #2 and #3 here!
MAD/WOMAN is a short, narrative, musical based on Charlotte Perkins Gilman's, The Yellow Wallpaper, directed by Marc Acito, and starring Storm Large.
RIVETED is a feature-length documentary from filmmaker Lindsay Trapnell, currently in production. OML is thrilled to be attached as Consulting Producers of this film.
KARAOKE PEOPLE is an 18 minute short film about people with extreme relationships to karaoke. It premiered at the 2020 LA Women’s International Film Festival, won Best Documentary Short - Award of Merit at the July 2020 Vegas Movie Awards, and was directed and produced by Jen Tate.
ROCK N ROLL MAMAS is a feature-length documentary about three indie rockers who strive to follow their creative dreams and raise their children. The film played to sold out audiences all over the world, recipient of various grants and a successful Kickstarter campaign. It was directed, edited and produced by Jackie Weissman.
THE GORILLA AND THE PIKER is an award winning short film that was featured on WNET - Channel 13, New York City’s PBS Station as part of its Reel New York Series. It was directed, edited and produced by Jackie Weissman.
From 2012-2016, Jen Tate produced Portland’s Citywide General Auditions alongside the board of the Portland Area Theater Alliance, helping hundreds of performers audition for theaters, performance organizations and casting directors.
